I travel

Not the China you see on the news

Two trips, two seasons of Discover China, always with my family. Season 1 took us north, from Shanghai's skyline to the Terracotta Army and the Great Wall. Season 2 went south, from Guangzhou to Hong Kong.

Along the way: a train through a building, the giant Buddha of Leshan, the unreal mountains of Yangshuo and Guilin, Shenzhen, where the world's gadgets are born, and a lot of things I never expected. No filters, just what it's really like.
