A quick one: in October 2021 CHITUBOX Pro finally came out on Mac, and you can use it with NOVA3D resin printers. Here's how I set it up, step by step.
Setting up CHITUBOX Pro for NOVA3D
I've shared the NOVA3D profile settings (the .cfg slicing parameters) and the plugin from my Google Drive. The link is in the video description. The same files also work with the free version of CHITUBOX. I'm on a Mac, so the folder paths below are for macOS.
- Download the zip from the description and unzip it. You'll find the slicing parameters and the NOVA3D plugin 1.0.4.
- Open the CHITUBOX Pro application folder, go into Resources, then the resource folder, then machine.
- Copy all the slicing parameter files into that machine folder.
- Open CHITUBOX Pro and go to Settings → Plugin → Import plugin. Select the NOVA3D plugin file and click Open.
- Close the window. On the right you'll now see Profile +. Click Import profile and select all the slicing parameters.
- Choose your NOVA3D printer, slice, and pick it as the output. I have the Elfin Mono: even though it says it isn't supported, it still exports the file.
That's it. The interface of the Pro version is different from the free one, but once the profiles are in, you can start working straight away with your NOVA3D printer.
