Who am I, and why am I on YouTube? A one-minute introduction from November 2018: video maker, photographer, vlogger and father of twins, living in Brindisi, where in December you can still wear short sleeves.
The long way round
After graduating in communication I tried to find my own way. I loved photography and video making, so I put all my effort into learning more every day, sometimes working for free and often working after hours. Making a living out of my camera wasn't easy. I needed stability, and after many years of struggling I finally found my happy place. But I soon realised it wasn't enough for my need to create. I wanted more, so I started uploading my videos online.
What being a creator means to me
Being a YouTuber isn't about fame, followers or getting rich. Thanks, but no thanks. It's about creating content that inspires and entertains, watching reality through my lens and swapping it with imagination, because that's the only way I feel limitless. It's about grabbing my camera and setting myself free for a while. It makes me feel useful, it makes me feel alive, and it's simply the way I am. That's why I'm a creator.
