What if a pool robot didn't wander around looking for dirt, but saw it with a camera and went straight to it? That's the Wybot C2 Vision, the AI-powered evolution of the C1 I reviewed the year before. I tested it at the end of August 2025.
What's new compared to the C1
From the outside it looks much the same as the C1. The big difference is the camera with AI, which spots where the dirt is and drives there to clean it. Suction is roughly double the C1's: Wybot rates it at 3,830 GPH (gallons per hour). The LED panel is new too: blue when it's on (blinking while processing), green to show charge level, and purple when it's connected to the app.
Dirt-hunting mode
This is a mode I hadn't seen on any other pool robot at the time. The robot keeps reversing and turning, looking for dust and debris, then goes to clean it. My pool looked totally different after 15 minutes, where a normal full clean takes around two hours. In my pool, debris often gathers in one corner. With the C1 going up and down, that could take two hours. With the C2 Vision, you place it near the debris and it's done in 10–15 minutes. For anyone who looks after their own pool, that's a real game changer. I expect to use dirt-hunting mode 80% of the time.
Modes, pool types and the filter
In the app you tell it what kind of pool you have, including vinyl above-ground pools like mine, which I love. There are now eight cleaning modes, a few more than the C1. You can do 180 minutes continuous ("clean once"), 90 minutes for two days, 60 minutes for three days (perfect for a weekend away), or "clean four times": 45 minutes every other day, which keeps the pool clean for a whole week while you're away.
The tray has a new micro-particle filter. After a couple of hours it was already filthy: it catches algae and really small particles that passed straight through other robots. You just rinse it under the tap. The rest is what you'd expect from a modern robot: good rubber wheels and tank-style tracks for climbing walls in any pool.
Unboxing and verdict
In the box: the robot, a hook, floats and a manual, well packed as always with Wybot. Shout out to them for using recycled cardboard instead of foam. Cutting the plastic too would be even better. If you want hassle-free pool care, put it in once or twice a week, or run a full clean up and down the walls, and let it do its magic.
